All of Humes Realty and Appraisal Service, LLC’s appraisers are State Certified & State Licenced Residential, and also have experience in all areas of real estate including brokerage, underwriting, consulting, and banking.

Errors and Omissions Insurance (E&O) is held by all appraisers and each client assigned to Humes Realty and Appraisal Service, LLC is covered at the maximum level. Proof of insurance can be found listed among the appraiser profiles and a hard copy can be furnished upon request. Note: All of our appraisers are FHA approved, and Thomas Humes is VA approved as well.

Thomas N. Humes  – Owner

Tom formed Humes Realty & Appraisal Service to simplify the appraisal process for his clients. As a senior level Real Estate Appraiser he has completed over 11,000 residential and approximately 500 residential review appraisals since 1973. He was an appraiser for 8 years with the US Army Corps of Engineers during the expansion of the Fort Drum military base. Tom has also qualified as an expert witness for the NY State Supreme Courts in Jefferson and Lewis Counties.  He is a member of the Jefferson-Lewis Board of Realtors and has been a NYS licensed Real Estate Broker since 1974. Tom has been a fee appraiser for the Veterans Administration since 1977.

Jennifer J. Dindl Neff – Co-Owner

Jenn has worked in the real estate appraised business since 1996 because she enjoys the challenge of determining the estimated value of properties using the most current appraisal methods and technology. After graduating with her Bachelor’s Degree in 2000 from SUNY Oswego, she became fully New York State Licensed in 2001. Jenn has appraised residential and 2 – 4 unit properties. She prides herself on extensive knowledge and expertise in her service areas. Jenn holds a NYS Real Estate Assoc. Broker’s license. Jenn stays abreast of all changes and improvements in her field of expertise by participating in continuing education classes. Jenn holds a leadership position on the Jefferson – Lewis Board of Realtors and NYS Tri – County of Women’s Council of Realtors.

Bonnie Damon

Bonnie Damon has 27 years of extensive real estate and bank experience. She has specialized in the appraisal of real estate for lending purposes, real estate investment analysis, and in valuation consulting services. 

Karen R. Giroux

Karen R. Giroux, extensive 30 years experience in real estate appraisals.  She has specialized in the appraisal of real estate for lending purposes, real estate investment analysis, and in valuation consulting services. Karen taught over 800 hrs of professional appraisal education.  She has held a number of leadership positions and serviced on a number of committees in the real estate profession.
